首先我向各位家长简单介绍一下英语学科的特点，英语是一门环环相扣的学科，如果你以前没有学好英语，那相对来说，你现在的英语学习就显得比较吃力;同样地，如果你现在不学好英语，那将来的英语学习就会变得难上加难，这样长期以往，必将积重难返，所以为了孩子们的将来，为了能让他们在轻松的环境中学习成长，我们的家长们要和学校一样，重视孩子们的英语学习，学好英语我们也要从娃娃抓起。现在小学英语，细心的家长发现小学英语的词汇量与语法知识点相对是比较多的。所以孩了们只有现在打下良好的基础，才不会导致英语越学越难、越学越差。对于三年级的学生而言，英语学习是处在同一起跑线上的，但经过半个学期的学习，学生与学生之间已经有了些差距。一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思考，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，家长和老师都会因此感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，平时下的功夫也够，导致他们现在课上所讲的内容不易接受，甚至听不懂，还有极个别学生的书面作业拖拉不交，对于老师布置的口头作业更是置若罔闻，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事。其实，大部分的学生在英语学习上还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率会因人而异，存在着个体差别。尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们总希望他们能够再上一个台阶。
怎样才能帮助孩子学好英语呢?我们老师是最直接的知识传授者，有着不可推卸的责任。在此，我们只是真诚地希望我们的家长们配合学校，配合老师，靠我们共同的努力来帮助孩子学好英语。用一句时髦的话说就是：我们要和孩子共同成长。为了培养好孩子，为了让孩子们学好英语，我就必须重视孩子们良好的学习习惯的养成。作为他们的英语学科的教学者，我给各位家长就孩子学习英语提出以下两点建议，以供各位家长参考。
1、让孩子多听录音。在少儿英语教学中，首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。三年级的英语学科考试中听力成绩就占到了70%的比例，不能听的英语也就成了聋子英语，没有任何应用价值，也和我们的素质教育目标背道而驰。
2、让孩子大声说英语。家长每天要留出20分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己，也有利于他人纠正自己的错误。不能大声说出来的英语就成了哑巴英语。这样的话，英语作为一种交流手段也就失去了应用价值，也违背了让孩子们学习英语的初衷。
因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成良好的习惯。家长的行为将会起榜样的作用。孩子一般还没有明确的学习目的，这时，家长对学习的态度，特别是行为，会极大地影响孩子。千万不能纵容自己的孩子第一次说：英语好难，我默写不出来。就任由他去。你让你的孩子知道：今天，你花更多的时间去养成好习惯，明天，你就可以更好，更轻松。今天，你偷懒了一会，明天,你的作业就会更多。累积下来，你就是欠债最多的人。

依稀记得，懵懂孩提，恍如昨日，一算命先生对母亲说：这个孩子长大后会是一位教师……记忆中只觉得那位算命老先生指点江山，挥斥方遒的样子很好笑，熟料，他的这句谶语却成了我一生追逐的梦想。
也忘不了大学的第一堂课，讲授古代文学的王教授说了这样一段话：你们将来从事的是语文教师的职业，为人师，必有为师之德，也必有渊博的学识，希望你们树立学科自豪感，静以苦读，动以创新，踏踏实实做人，认认真真做学问……

1、我们深知：教师的爱一种一日为师，终生为父最高尚的爱。教师的爱又完全等同于母亲的爱。她不是一直搀着孩子走路，也不是把孩子抱在怀里，而是把学生装在心里。教师不仅要把学生看作是他们自己的儿女，倾注全部的心血，关注学生的身心的健康。教师还在他们合适的时间、在合理的场合下及时给孩子们指点方向，所以教师的爱是开导孩子们心智的爱。教师的爱就是用自己的汗水辛勤耕耘，不断浇开一朵朵美丽的心灵之花的高尚的爱。
2、我们深知：教师的爱是捧着一颗心来，不带半根草去。的一种无私的爱。教师的爱是对学生的爱从不求回报，甚至如潭千秋一样舍生忘死的去呵护自己的学生。教师在工作中，无论遇到学生、家庭、领导的不理智、误解、歧视、压迫等，他们决不因此而影响到对学生的教诲和关爱，他们决不会把对学生的爱与自己的个人目的和利益联系起来。所以教师的爱就是一种吃得是草，挤的奶和血的无私的爱。
3、我们深知：教师的爱一种神圣的爱。因为疼爱自己的孩子是本能，而热爱别人的孩子是神圣!我们的教师所给予的爱恰恰就是这种神圣。教师的爱是公平的，她不分贫穷和贵贱。教师思考的是学生未来的长远发展，他们从不因眼前的不理解而放任迁就。教师爱的的情感是超人的，他们对芸芸众生能够区别对待，因人施教，做到对好学生不溺爱，对差学生不操之过急、循循善诱。教师的爱包含母爱且胜于母爱，教师的爱包含父爱且超越父爱，是一种严格要求和精心施教的神圣的爱。
所以，我们教师的爱就是遵照胡提出的真情、真心、真诚六个字去关爱每个学生，用我们的高尚的爱、无私的爱、神圣的爱，让他们健康成长。
教师工作就是一个社会的平凡岗位，做着貌似平凡的工作。
然而，我们都知道一个孩子的失败，对一个教师来说，只是几十分之一的失败，但对于一个家庭来说，就是百分之百的失败。所以教师的工作就是一种替他人家庭做嫁衣裳的、有高度社会责任性的工作。用毛泽东的词来说就是：风雨送春归，飞雪迎春到。已是悬崖百丈冰，犹有花枝俏。俏也不争春，只把春来报。待到山花烂漫时，她在丛中笑。
